CHRIS HALEY
A nephew of Roots author, Alex Haley, and descendant of Kunta Kinte, Mr. Haley grew up with a unique fascination for American history.
A graduate of the University of Maryland, he is director of the Study of the Legacy of Slavery in Maryland at the Maryland State Archives. A highly regarded speaker in the fields of African American history, self-empowerment, and genealogy, Mr. Haley has served as a director of the Kunta Kinte-Alex Haley Foundation and the Annapolis Film Festival, among others.
Mr. Haley has also appeared in numerous films and television series, among them The Wire, America's Most Wanted, Kennedy, and PBS' American Experience.

KARIN KOHLMEIER, PH.D.
Karin Kohlmeier holds a Master of Arts in Humanities from New York University and a Doctor of Philosophy in English Language and Literature/Letters from City University of New York.
An artist, fine art photographer, and avid explorer of New York City, Dr. Kohlmeier has edited a wide variety of materials spanning from web content, dissertations, fiction, non-fiction, and autobiography to business documents and self-help books in the U.S. and Europe.
Among her many accomplishments, Dr. Kohlmeier edited Downstairs at the White House (The story of a teenager, an Oval Office, and a ringside seat to Watergate), published by Eastern Harbor Press in 2017. The book has been an Amazon bestseller in Teen and Young Adult Presidents and First Families for nearly eight years.
